Grace Foods renews partnership with Penn Relays

NEW JERSEY – Grace Foods has announced a renewed partnership with Penn relay over the next three years. The 2023 Pennsylvania Relays, which will take place April 27-29 at the University of Pennsylvania’s historic Franklin Field, are currently 127 years old.th year and continues to be an excellent opportunity for Jamaican high school track and field athletes to showcase their skills on the international stage.

Don Wehby, Group CEO Grace Kennedy (GC), the parent company of Grace Foods, explained: “Sports is one of the best vehicles for promoting fair play, discipline and the pursuit of excellence among young people. GraceKennedy’s support for youth sporting events is well known. We see this support as a major investment in nation building – an investment in our youth, our schools, sports development and our country.”

Champions

The 2023 Pennsylvania Relays will follow the spectacular ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls Championships, popularly referred to as “The Champions”. The event is scheduled to take place at the National Stadium in Kingston, Jamaica from March 28 to April 1. Champs is the premier event for Jamaican junior track and field athletes, many of whom travel to Penn Relays to further showcase their talents.

Wehby continued: “Our support for Champs in Jamaica began 16 years ago in 2007 and is our largest sponsorship anywhere in the world. We are proud to continue to support Champs and Penn Relays year after year. Each year, these meetings provide the basis for the youth of our country to showcase their talents in athletics, not only in Jamaica, but throughout the world.”

At Penn Relays 2023, Grace Foods sponsors eight (8) championships, including the 4×100 and 4×400 American High School Girls Championships; 400m hurdles high school championship; 4×100, 4×400, remote high school medley, and 4×800 American Championship; as well as the American Men’s 4×200 College Championship. Sponsorship of Grace Foods also includes on-site tastings and giveaways.

International exposure

“We are excited to continue our sponsorship of Penn Relays, which spans over a decade,” said Andrea Coy, CEO of GK Foods International. “The relay races offer our athletes much-needed international exposure and the opportunity to interact with athletes, coaches and volunteers from across the region. The meeting also gives Grace Foods the opportunity to showcase our products and connect with our consumers who attend the event from across the United States,” she added.
