Fort Worth police officer arrested on charges of sexually abusing a child

A Fort Worth police officer has been arrested on suspicion of sexually abusing a child.

Raymond Lara was accused of persistent sexual abuse of a small child.

The investigation against Lara began back in November, when he was found suspected of sexual harassment of a minor.

Lara, who had been with the Fort Worth police for three years, was stripped of all police powers during the investigation.

On Thursday, Lara was charged and arrested.

No details about the investigation into Lara’s case have been released.
