Former teacher from Florida launched a YouTube channel to help students solve their problems

TAMPA, Florida. Math may not be every student’s favorite subject, but the former Florida teacher turned her knowledge into easy-to-watch videos to make math simple and stress-free.

Marcia Zilberman has taken her talents to the virtual world and hopes this will help kids find the right answer with less frustration.

“Math is really everywhere. It’s in personal finance. It’s in budgeting. It’s all about fractions and cooking,” Zilberman said. “It’s in analyzing how your favorite sports team is doing.”

Silberman is a former Hillsborough County school teacher with over 30 years of experience. She quit teaching and took up tutoring, explaining that she knew she still loved working with students.

“With COVID, students have really become very tech-savvy, so a YouTube channel will help them, where local students and even students from all over the world can ask for help,” Zilberman said.

Teacher Marcia Zilberman started her own YouTube channel to help students solve math problems.

Zilberman came up with the math with Marcia. The YouTube channel was launched in November and now has over 1,000 subscribers. It helps students and their parents do their homework with step-by-step explanations and examples in the form of simple short videos.

“The class moves at a fast pace. Everyone learns at a different pace,” Zilberman said. “So that students can stop it, rewind it, watch it again and build confidence so they understand the language of mathematics.”

The teacher shows that helping students understand the answer minus subject stress can be a path to success.

“There will come a time when I retire, but these videos will live on and continue to help students all over the world,” Zilberman said.
