HOUSTON — A United Airlines flight from Guatemala bound for Chicago was diverted to George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston on Saturday due to a technical problem, an airport spokesman told KHOU 11.

United Airlines posted the following rejection message on the flight status page:

“Tonight we headed to Houston so that our team can resolve an unforeseen issue related to the crew. We apologize for the inconvenience and will keep you posted as we receive more information.”

The flight was originally bound for O’Hare International Airport in Chicago.

United Airlines has since updated its message on the flight status page:

“To assist you on your journey, we have assigned a new crew member to your flight, who we expect to arrive at 8:00 pm. We really appreciate your patience throughout this experience.”
