Dallas Weather: DoorDash Suspends Delivery to DFW Due to Weather Conditions

Due to icy roads in North Texas, DoorDash is looking to ensure the safety of its drivers by suspending operations in the DFW area.

The service has stopped deliveries since noon Tuesday.

Winter Storm Warning for North Texas Extended to Thursday

DoorDash says they plan to continue deliveries on Thursday, February 2 at 9am, but this time may change depending on weather conditions.

“This severe winter storm has created extremely dangerous travel conditions,” DoorDash spokesman Juan Crowley said. “To keep our community safe, DoorDash is actively activating the severe weather protocol and suspending operations in the Dallas and Fort Worth areas.”

Witnesses say the driver died after taking off from an icy overpass in Arlington.

State officials say icy weather has caused hundreds of accidents in North Texas.

Drivers are urged to stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary.
