27th Hairy Man Festival: A Colorful Celebration of Tradition

Cat Hollow Park is set to host the 27th Annual Hairy Man Festival® this Saturday, October 21, from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. The event promises a day filled with exciting activities for the entire family to enjoy, including live music, delectable food vendors, captivating arts and craft booths, and thrilling carnival games. Moreover, local non-profit organizations will be present, raising funds through their food and game booths. The festival will also offer an opportunity to purchase festival t-shirts, while the kids can indulge in Halloween-themed crafts, treats, and games.

The festival’s schedule of events is packed with entertaining activities that will surely keep attendees engaged throughout the day. The day kicks off at 8:00 am with the HAIRY MAN 5K, followed by the official opening of the festival at 11:00 am. The event will commence with the National Anthem at 11:05 am and will be followed by captivating performances by TWIRL ATX at 11:10 am and the School of Rock at 11:25 am. The festivities continue with a local group performance at 12:25 pm, leading up to a live band performance by a yet-to-be-determined artist at 12:45 pm. At 1:45 pm, the much-anticipated costume contest will take place, showcasing the creativity and imagination of festival attendees. The afternoon will be filled with more live music, with the band “LIX BOX” taking the stage at 2:30 pm, followed by the legendary Legend of Hairy Man at 3:30 pm. The eagerly awaited Hairiest Man Contest will captivate the audience at 3:45 pm, and the festival will conclude with a high-energy performance by the band “DYSFUNKSHUN JUNKSHUN” at 4:30 pm.

Admission to the Hairy Man Festival® is free, although a suggested donation of either two non-perishable food items or $2.00 per person is encouraged to support the Round Rock Serving Center, a local non-profit organization.
