Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson criticized Philadelphia Eagles tweet: “Vote for this man!”

Some social media users, horrified by last week’s playoff loss, are angry at Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson.

In a tweet on Sunday night, Big D’s top spokesperson praised one of the Boys’ best rivals of all time.

“The Eagles really belong to the city of Philadelphia, and vice versa. And it’s fucking awesome,” Johnson tweeted, along with a CNN video of Eagles fans cheering their team to the Super Bowl. “The city of Dallas deserves to know what such mutual love is.”

The Eagles thrashed the San Francisco 49ers 31-7 Sunday, sparking wild celebration in Philadelphia and beyond. This win is in stark contrast to the Cowboys, who recently shattered their own Super Bowl dreams despite being labeled the “overwhelming” favorites – at least by some people.

To say that someone did not like Johnson’s post would be putting it mildly.

“Vote for this man! To hell with the birds! The city of Philadelphia may rot in hell!” one fiery protector of the Cowboys wrote in reply.

Some Philadelphia fans thanked Johnson for respecting the eagles (No those Eagles). Other social media users disputed Johnson’s tweet, including pointing out that while “Dallas” is in the “Cowboys” name, The team’s home games are played in Arlington..

“Looks like someone is the mayor of the wrong city [three thinking face emojis]- one of the fans of the “Cowboys”. replied.

“Fortunately, the Cowboys play in Tarrant County and train in Collin County, so…” — Chuck Kelly, owner of Metro Sports DFW. said.

However, some people seemed to wonder why Johnson even gets into a one-man debate. asking: “Are you even the mayor?”

Johnson tried to clarify his position in a response tweet on Sunday evening. He rhetorically asked why people think the Dallas Cowboys are the answer to the “lack of professional football in the city”, adding that he thinks Team America can stay put.

But some North Texas residents wanted the mayor to redirect his attention.

“Bro, just fix the potholes,” one man retorted. “I just had to change two tires and lost $750! However, @DiscountTire at Inwood did a great job.”

Never leaving himself a hole to dig, Johnson tried again clarify the topicwriting on Monday morning, “This tweet that doesn’t even mention the Dallas Cowboys turned out to be a Rorschach test.”

Fair enough. Anyway, about these potholes…
