Christian Artists Descend into US Capitol, Fill Rotunda with Worship and Prayer – 7 Members of Congress Join Them

There seems to be movement in the hearts, minds, and spirits of some Christians.

Let’s Worship and Turning Point USA Faith are two faith-based movements with worship, prayer and rebirth at their heart. They collaborate with each other and travel across the country to various state capitols and Washington, DC to inspire others to pray for revival.

“[This is] our most ambitious and historic revival tour,” they said on their website, where they also urge others to “Join us in powerful worship, prayer and a bold call for the Church to rise up in this historic moment when we were literally born . For! We believe this is a time of rebirth for our nation… and we want you to be a part of it!”

This weekend they made a stop in the capital of the country.

Sean Feucht, founder of the Let’s Worship movement, brought several musicians together for a time of praise and worship.

Lyrics of Song “Revival Is Coming! Awakening is coming…” sounded in the rotunda on Capitol Hill over the weekend.

There were people with their hands held high, some on their knees, voices rising to the heavens, some even moved to tears as the presence of God filled the place where they all gathered to worship.

“The Capitol has become an altar,” Feucht tweeted. “There is ONE KING over America! From the most powerful and important building in the country – JESUS MAY ASCEND!”

He also quoted Psalm 24:9: “Lift up, you gates, your heads; lift them up, ancient doors, and the King of glory will enter.”

Seven members of Congress also came to the prayer and worship service, which took place on Friday and continues through the weekend.

“Praise God for these 7 members of the US Congress who are bold and not ashamed of their faith in Jesus Christ! They all had a worship service last night at the US Capitol!” Feucht tweeted. “GOD HAS HIS PEOPLE IN CONGRESS HALLS!”

Considering the fact that this event followed Pastor Greg Laurie’s successful film The Jesus Revolution, which followed Asbury’s outpouring, one would think that such a timing is more than coincidental. coincidence.

The Let’s Worship movement began in 2020 and has been meeting annually in Washington since then. In October 2022, over 80,000 people gathered on the grounds of the National Mall to bow and pray for revival. according to CBN News.

“It is very easy for us to blame the government, curse the government, talk about how terrible things are and complain. It’s much harder to take responsibility and say, “This is our nation,” Feucht told CBN News. “We were born here for a time like this. We have the power to make a difference. We have the power to worship and pray until things change… I think believers should have a little courage and perseverance again and really believe the Word of God.”
