Argyle police deliver medication after 911 call from ice dweller

Some people who couldn’t pick up their prescriptions because of the icy conditions were helped by the Argyle Police Department.

Chef Emmitt Jackson and his officers delivered special supplies on Wednesday.

The chief said he considered it part of his duty to serve the community.

This gesture was appreciated by many patients and their caregivers.

“Any time we can get medicine to people and our ambulance doesn’t have to respond to a potential problem is a plus,” Chief Jackson said.

The police decided to make the delivery after an Argyll resident called 911 about a need for medication, and everything grew from there.

The department responds to requests from residents in need through social networks.

Argyle is in Denton County, south of Denton.
