‘Are you okay, honey’: Video shows rescue of 4-year-old Michigan girl and her father’s arrest

A 4-year-old Michigan girl who was picked up by her father on Tuesday was rescued by Ohio police after they pulled over a man’s car in Ohio. On Wednesday afternoon, the Ohio Highway Patrol released video from the rescue camera.

Eric Nardlini was arrested Tuesday night after police managed to find a silver Ford Taurus with a Michigan license plate that Nardlini was driving. In the back seat of a car with her 4-year-old daughter, Liliana.

In the video, which starts with a DVR, the Taurus is surrounded by soldiers from all sides. The video switched to body camera video of an officer yelling at him to get his hands out of the car.

The soldiers spotted a little girl in the back seat of the car, ordered Eric to throw the keys out of the car, and then arrested him without further incident.

After the arrest, the officer pulls the girl out of the car, assuring her that she is all right.

“Come on honey, you’re fine,” the officer said.

A soldier holds a little girl and tells her that she is fine before asking if she is hurt.

“We saw you coming and then I got scared,” she said.

The soldier then explained that the girl’s mother would be there soon and she would be in good hands.

Erik Nardlini has been put on the wanted list after authorities said he took his daughter without legal rights. Recently, he was handed a court order ordering the child to be handed over to Liliana’s mother. After serving the court order, he told the mother that she would never see the child again.

“We wanted everyone to know that Lilianna has been located, she is safe, and Port Huron Police Department Major Crime Investigators are on their way to retrieve her,” Facebook wrote. “Thanks to everyone who shared messages and sent all the tips. We will post additional information as it becomes available.”
