A police shooting in northwest Miami-Dade is under investigation.

NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, FL. (WSVN) — Police are investigating a shooting in northwest Miami-Dade.

Streets closed around 103rd Street and 14th Avenue on Thursday morning.

Officials said the incident involved a man who barricaded himself in their home.

According to authorities, the officer fired his weapon and killed the subject at the scene.

The Miami-Dade Police Department needs to make a statement.

Drivers are advised to look for an alternate route as 103rd Street is closed in both directions where an investigation is ongoing.
