A multi-vehicle accident closed off all southbound lanes on the lower deck of I-35.

Austin, Texas – The multi-vehicle accident closed off all southbound lanes on the lower deck of North I-35 north of UT Austin.

ATCEMS reports that the crash occurred at block 3400 of northbound southbound I-35 around 6:43 pm Jan. 22, involving seven to eight vehicles.

Ambulances transported two adults, one to Dell Seton Medical Center and one to St. David’s Hospital, both with non-life-threatening injuries. ATCEMS reports that as of 19:20 they are no longer at the scene.

Drivers can expect traffic delays and/or closures and are asked to avoid the area if possible.
