A man and woman died in an apparent murder-suicide in the Montrose area, according to HPD.

HOUSTON. A man and woman were killed Wednesday in what Houston police are calling a murder-suicide.

According to police, it happened in a townhouse on Van Buren Street, near the intersection of Montrose Boulevard and West Dallas Street in the Montrose area, around 8:30 pm.

According to investigators, the man and woman met, but recently broke up.

The neighbor got worried and called the police. When the police arrived, a neighbor who had a key to the townhouse where the shooting had taken place let them in.

Once inside, the police found a man and a woman dead. According to police, both were shot in the head. A pistol was found nearby. According to police, the man and woman were in their 20s.
