Dog Beach and Boca Grande Beach reopen to the public

LEE COUNTY, Florida. Lee County Parks and Recreation announced that Dog Beach and Boca Grande Beach have reopened to the public.

The beaches are open 7 days a week from dawn to dusk.

Residents and visitors are advised to exercise caution in the area as debris from the hurricane continues to wash ashore.

Parks and Recreation also wants to communicate to beach lovers that amenities
such as toilets, piers and pedestrian crossings have not been completely renovated at present.

Officials say beach shoes should be worn at all times.

Prohibition signs will be posted where necessary. Lee Parks and Recreation is updating the status on their website.

For more information on additional discoveries and amenities available, visit their “Hurricane Jan Park Progress Map” on their website.
