You’d better lock yourself in your armor.
The 10,000-square-foot prison in Missouri went up for sale last month and has already found a buyer who plans to turn the property into the perfect place for entertainment, including short-stay guests.
Listed for $195,000, the former Cass County Missouri Law Enforcement Center and detention center/jail has been unused for over 20 years.
“It was being used as a warehouse for the county and was empty,” Paula Voss, who owns the listing, told The Post.
“It was sold at auction two years ago and that’s when the seller took it. And then they had intentions to make it residential. But they decided, “Hey, I think we’re going to go ahead and try to sell it.” ”
The new owner is an out-of-state investor, and Voss adds that they have plans to turn the property into several “income opportunities, from Airbnb to retail space to a residential complex.”
“We intend to use the prison as a prison-themed entertainment,” the unidentified alleged owner said in a statement.

The new owner is also looking for partners to join his idea.
Built in 1960, the building sits on a half-acre corner lot at 208 W. Pearl St.
Of the building’s 10,000 square feet, there are 5,300 square feet of office space with “a very secure fenced area at the back of the building.”

But the city grew and needed a much larger facility, which has since been built within a five-minute walk of the old prison.
“This is a really big object,” Voss said. “But Harrisonville’s intent is to really renovate and improve its historic plaza. And this prison that is for sale is right behind the square.”
“So the last couple of years have seen a lot of growth and a lot of turnover and people are improving buildings and restaurants.”
The seller thoroughly cleaned the prison and repainted the outside.
Features include 34 cells with toilets and sinks.
It was also the site for the soon-to-be-released Amazon movie Solitary Confinement, about a man who must figure out how to deal with his days in solitary confinement.
“I had over 350 real estate inquiries,” Voss said. “It was much more than I ever expected. But it was good. And I think it’s really good for the city. I grew up there. So I’m glad to see that someone is going to enter the vacant building and make improvements.”
