“You can’t have two sets of rules”: DeSantis knocks out Biden because of classified documents

During Wednesday’s event, a reporter asked the governor what he thought about “what’s going on with President Biden.”

“So, the question is about the Biden documents,” DeSantis began. “And um… you know, look, he said it was incredibly reckless to classify [documents]he said it all, you know, in 60 Minutes.

He continued: “And, you know, now you’re going to find out that he hid them behind his corvette in his house, which Hunter had access to – which I think is definitely a security risk.”

“And so I think it just shows you what some of these people are doing. They had it all to say, now they’re acting like it’s not a big deal. What is good for the goose is good for the gander. You can’t have two different sets of rules based on your political party,” he added.

Biden faces a special prosecutor’s investigation into his handling of classified documents.

On January 9, it was reported that the U.S. Attorney was reviewing about 10 classified documents from Biden’s time as vice president, found at the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement in Washington, DC. These documents were discovered in November before the midterm elections.

Another batch of documents was found in the garage of the president’s home in Wilmington, Delaware. These documents were discovered on December 20, 2022.

And on Saturday, White House attorney Richard Sauber said six classified documents were found in the president’s personal library at his home in Wilmington. One was found on Wednesday, five more on Thursday.

Biden’s investigation comes months after he criticized former President Donald Trump for his handling of classified documents.

In August, the FBI executed a search warrant at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate and recovered more than 300 classified documents.

DeSantis was considered as a potential 2024 presidential candidate. And the first few polls showed him beating Biden in a face-to-face meeting.
