‘Yellowstone’ star Wes Bentley speaks out about season 5 and Kevin Costner rumors

The star of “Yellowstone” Wes Bentley commented on the rumors about backstage drama about Kevin Costner’s future on the hit Paramount Network show.

Earlier this month, Deadline reported that Yellowstone could end due to scheduling conflicts with Costner, 68, who reportedly wanted to cut back on his time filming the Taylor Sheridan-produced western.

However, Bentley, 44, who plays Jamie Dutton, the adopted son of Costner’s character John Dutton, has expressed his optimism about the show’s future, admitting that he was not involved in discussions.

“The news that’s been out about the show recently, you know, that’s over my salary,” Bentley told Entertainment Weekly in an interview published Saturday.

Earlier this month, Paramount Network denied rumors that Costner was leaving Yellowstone at the end of season five.

Bentley explained that Costner’s character running for governor changed his character’s thoughts about the potential fate of John Dutton.

Bentley explained that his character would not know what to do if Costner’s character died before he ran for governor.

“Jamie would be completely lost,” the actor explained. “Perhaps part of him would be furious trying to take care of the ranch.
