SAN ANTONIO. San Antonio police are left with many questions after a woman was found dead on South Street early Wednesday morning.

Officers responded around 1:30 am in the 8600 S. Zarzamor block to reports of a dead woman on the road, and they initially believed she had been hit by a car.

The victim was found with a one-inch wound on her forehead.

Police can’t tell if it was a gunshot wound or some kind of blunt trauma.

The woman, who, according to police, was about 30-40 years old, died at the scene.

Investigators of the traffic police and forensic experts were called to the scene.

At the moment, the police do not know how the woman ended up in the center of Zarzamora, and they also do not have information about possible suspects.

Now the forensic examination must find out how the woman died.
