Woman dies after Tesla crashes into San Rafael pool: CHP

A Tesla driver has died after crashing into a swimming pool in San Rafael on Saturday morning, the California Highway Authority said.

The incident happened around 7:30 a.m., according to the emergency department.

Officials said the woman was driving west on Point San Pedro Road when she turned off the road and ended up in the pool at a house on Bonnie Banks Way.

It is unclear why the car swerved or if it was on autopilot at the time of the accident.
