Who is Shamaya Hall? North Texas woman arrested after allegedly stabbing her three children

ITALY, Texas. Police have arrested a mother in Italy, Texas, after she allegedly stabbed three of her children and injured two more on Friday, sources told WFAA.

Three primary school children were found dead in a home near Stafford Elementary School in the small town of Ellis County on Friday afternoon, sources said.

Child Protective Services confirmed to WFAA that all five children were siblings.

Now we learn more about who the mother is, named Shamaya Hall, and her criminal history. This is not the first time she has been arrested for allegedly stabbing someone, nor is it the first alleged fatal stabbing linked to her family.

Hall, according to arrest records obtained by the WFAA, is a 25-year-old resident of Forney, Texas. She had previously been arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after allegedly stabbing her sister’s boyfriend in 2017.

The children had previously been placed in the care of another relative by CPS.

CPS sources told the WFAA that Hall allegedly stabbed her children to death when a CPS officer who suspected the mother was visiting her children unsupervised arrived on the scene to check on her without warning.

According to an affidavit, Hall’s twin sister, Troishe Monet Hall, was arrested for allegedly stabbing and killing her 7-year-old daughter in June 2021. In October 2021, Troisha Monet Hall was ordered to North Texas State Hospital in Vernon.

Shamaya Hall was charged with three capital murders.
