White House doctor declares Biden ‘fit’ for presidency after physical, but medical experts note missing piece

At 80, President Joe Biden is “energetic” and “able to successfully carry out presidential duties,” according to his doctor.

On Thursday, Dr. Kevin O’Connor released details of the president’s medical examination and declared him “healthy.”

But some medical experts noted that the examination did not provide details about his mental state.

Dr. Janette Nesheiwat, emergency medicine specialist and Fox News contributor, told Fox News Digital she would like to see the results of a “mini-mental status test.”

“How did he do it? What was his score? I’d like to know,” she said, adding, “Physical, mental and emotional health are equally important.”

Nesheivat continued: “The job of a president is a very difficult and stressful job. We must ensure that our leader is physically, mentally and emotionally capable, especially when it comes to life and death decisions and the overall health, safety and well-being of our nation.”

“We need a sharp, insightful president with cognitive fortitude and mental acumen to lead our great country,” she added.

In a report detailing the results of Biden’s physical examination, O’Connor noted that there were no signs consistent with a stroke, multiple sclerosis, or Parkinson’s disease. He mentioned that the President has a “stiff gait” and was given custom orthopedic insoles.

Dr. Mark Siegel, professor of medicine at NYU Langone Medical Center, appeared on the Fox News program “Tucker Carlson Tonight” and suggested that the report “is more important for what it misses than for what it’s on.” really tells us.”

Do you think Biden should take a cognitive test?

He suggested that doctors should have given the president an MRI to determine the cause of Biden’s “stiff gait”. In addition, he asked about a cognitive test.

“We have a cognitive error a day, at least from this president who said the other day that 20,000 pounds of fentanyl is enough to kill 1,000 people, how about 4 billion people,” Siegel continued. “Either he calls Kamala Harris president, or he forgets the name of the congressman, or whoever died. [he] thinks he is in the audience.

Siegel suggested that a cognitive test might be warranted because a stiff gait “is sometimes a sign of cognitive problems”.

How bad are his cognitive problems? Is he taking ANY drugs to treat his mental decline? This exam was a JOKE. COVER!!”

Biden’s medical examination took place as he said he intended to run for a second term, but has yet to share his official decision. By the end of his second term, he will be 86 years old.
