An object seen in the skies over Montana on Saturday that was initially dismissed as a “radar anomaly” by the North American Aerospace Command reappeared over Lake Huron Sunday, only to be shot down by a US F-16, according to Department of Defense news. release.

And while the publication has gone out of its way to attribute the shooting order to President Joe Biden, the revelation is disastrous for his administration.

During the Super Bowl Sunday, when Biden and company no doubt hoped to take a break from the weekly news of China’s aggressiveness that made the White House look paralyzed and weak – at home and abroad – the ballots got worse.

Over Lake Michigan, a state of “country aerospace defense” had to be declared, temporarily clearing the skies of civilian air traffic due to an unidentified potential threat.

Then, an “airborne object” was shot down over Lake Huron, and it turned out to be the same “radar anomaly” that caused the fighter jets to take to the air a day earlier, according to a press release.

“Based on its flight path and data, we can reasonably associate this object with a radar signal received over Montana that flew in close proximity to important US Department of Defense installations.

“We have not assessed it as a kinetic military threat to anything on the ground, but have assessed it as a threat to flight safety and a threat due to its potential surveillance capabilities,” the statement said. “Our team will now work on restoring the facility to find out more.”

It’s good that there was no “kinetic military threat”.

On the other hand, it is doubtful that Mr. and Mrs. America thought that the Chinese hordes would pour across the border armed with balloons. However, it is reassuring that this particular balloon appeared to be low on the kinetic threat scale.

What is not encouraging, however, is that the United States is led by a president who is clearly not a formidable figure to the country’s most formidable adversaries.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, without remorse, invaded Ukraine with Biden in the White House. (Never Trump Democrats and Republicans may want to remember that this never happened while President Donald Trump was in office.)

And the communist dictatorship of Chinese President Xi Jinping is clearly not afraid to engage in egregious violations of American sovereignty by flying surveillance planes over what even published Pentagon news calls “US Department of Defense classified sites.”

As former President Ronald Reagan understood, peace comes not only from strength, but from the knowledge that that strength will be used.

No serious strategist in the world doubts that the United States has enough weapons to destroy any enemy. But it can be argued that among American rivals and potential enemies there are quite a few strategists who have very good reason to seriously doubt Biden’s willingness to use American force if necessary.

This is the American president who almost gave the green light to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

He is a man who humiliated his country and betrayed his allies by leaving Afghanistan in disgrace.

Moreover, he ceded—deliberately—control of the country’s borders to countless millions of foreigners, making illegal entry into the country as easy as shoplifting in San Francisco.

And now the military is using million-dollar weapons to drop balloons from the sky because the United States’ most powerful global rival knows full well that Biden is too weak, shackled by age, incompetence, or corruption (or some damned combination of the three). ) to do something with it that will make a difference.

Biden, even with the support of the establishment media that sees no evil from Democrats, has a lot to explain to the American public, although it is unlikely to do much good.

The “anomaly” that disappeared over Montana and reappeared over Lake Huron may not have posed a “kinetic military threat,” but it is becoming clearer every day that President Biden’s inherent weakness and possibly corruption is a real thing. a threat to security. U.S.A.

Conservatives, Republicans, and every American who doesn’t give a damn about the future of the country should make sure that the Biden presidency goes into the history books, and with it, his politics.

When it comes to the survival of the United States – the principles on which it is founded and the institutions that have grown inside – Biden would be better off as an “anomaly”.

The balloon will pass. Its damage may be permanent.
