Wellington murder-suicide victim named

WELLINGTON, Florida is the name of a woman who died in Wellington murder-suicide last week was released on Thursday.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office identified the victim as 34-year-old Brittany Carter.

Sheriff’s office spokesman Teri Barber said members of the victim’s family overturned Marcy’s law.

The shooting occurred on January 20, shortly after 5 p.m., in the 2100 block of Balsun Way, within the Olympia area.

A man and woman died in an apparent murder-suicide in the Olympia area of ​​Wellington.

After the shooting, the gunman was identified as Steven Smith, 45.

According to Barber, Carter and Smith were a separated couple with two children together.

Family and friends set up a memorial fund for children in Wells Fargo called the Brittany Carter Memorial Fund. Donations will be accepted at any Wells Fargo branch or via Zelle at [email protected].
