Watch: Biden Seems To Have Forgotten His Secretary of Defense Title – Gives Him A New One

President Joe Biden seems to have forgotten the title of one of the key officials in his cabinet.

During a speech on Wednesday, the president spoke about US support for Ukraine. He announced that the US would send M1 Abrams tanks to Ukraine.

But he seems to have forgotten about the title of Minister of Defense and called this position Minister of War.

“[The] Secretary of State, Secretary… uh… uh, uh, the military is behind me,” Biden said.

He added: “They were deeply involved in all of these efforts. The armor, as you would say to General Austin, was critical.”

Previously, Biden made mistakes, referring to Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin.

In March 2021, he said: “I want to thank the sec… former general. I keep calling him General, but my, my… the guy who runs this department.

“I want to make sure we thank the secretary for everything he’s done to try and implement what we just talked about,” he added.

If you missed it:

And in March 2022, the president accidentally named Austin secretary of state.

Thanking the paratroopers of the 82nd Airborne Division stationed in Rzeszow, Poland, Biden said: “The General, the Secretary of State, asked me if I would send more than 12,000 troops.”

“Now there are 100,000 US troops here. We didn’t have that for a very, very long time because we are the organizing principle for the rest of the world. He said that you sent the best, the best available in America, and that’s all you are, he added.

Austin made history as the first black advocacy secretary when he was named to the position in 2021.
