Valentine’s Day activities at DFW for all your loved ones

It’s February, and along with the changeable temperature, love is in the air! Whether you’re looking to celebrate Valentine’s Day with your boyfriend or friends, we’ve rounded up many exciting weekend and Valentine’s Day activities that take place in North Texas. From rooftop movies to dance lessons, we’ve got it all for you!

ROOFTOP FILM AT GRANADA SUNSET

Every Tuesday in February, Sundown at Granada hosts a free rooftop viewing. What better way to showcase on Valentine’s Day than the 2010 romantic comedy Valentine’s Day! To kick off the night, Sundown at Granada hosts the Glentine Rooftop Party and Pre-Game Party starting at 4:30 pm.

The first 25 guests will receive a free glass of champagne and vendors will give away free samples. Seating is limited, so arrive early for this 21+ event. The full menu and bar will include movie-themed specials. The roof is heated, but bring a blanket just in case.

MIMOSA WALK IN DALLAS: ST. VALENTINE’S WEEKEND

In the heart of Deep Ellum, the Dallas Mimosa Walk has 20 mimosa stops located at establishments throughout the area. Sip and shop from noon until 3:30 pm on Saturday, February 11th with a self-guided tour of mimosa specimens! Red is the color of the day, so wear love-themed outfits. Event and portrait photographer Austin Jett will capture groups, couples and families.

Only a few tickets left! Prices start at $40.

LEARN LATIN DANCES!

Learn how to move with your loved one this Valentine’s Day with Latin dance classes on Feb. 11 in Lower Greenville. Dance instructors from the Rhythm Room ballroom dance studio will lead an hour-long lesson. Dress code is not required, but please wear comfortable shoes and dance attire.

Each ticket, starting at $24, includes access to one Latin American dance class, hors d’oeuvres, and champagne toast.

COOKING COURSE FOR CHILDREN ON VALENTINE’S DAY

The team at Maggiano’s Little Italy in Dallas is ready to teach your little ones how to play with food!

Your children and loved ones will learn how to carve flowers from strawberries and create a beautiful bouquet. This arts and crafts project is the perfect weekend activity for the whole family. Cooking class is held on Saturday, February 11, from 10:00 to 12:00. Tickets are $30 and sales close soon.

BRUNCH FOR THE DAY OF GALENTINA

Because our friends are also our loved ones! This Valentine’s Day weekend, celebrate with your girls a brunch dedicated to friendship and quality time with girls.

The event is scheduled for Sunday, February 12th from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, two days before Valentine’s Day, so boo girls will have one more day to celebrate! The event will include food tasting from local vendors as well as wine tasting. Tickets for food and drinks are $25.

GAENTINE’S DRAG QUEEN BRUNCH

The Glen Restaurant in Frisco is demolishing the whole house, queen! Galentine’s Drag Queen Brunch will take place on Saturday, February 11th from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm with food, mimosas, amazing performances, and photos with your favorite local drag queens, including fourth runner-up of Queer Off, Naida Montana!

Tickets for this 21+ event start at $15 with table packages available. Table packages include welcome shots, premium view seats and more. Don’t forget to bring cash with you to tip the queens!

3RD ANNUAL ANTI VALENTINE’S CART PARTY

Lonely? Going through this with your significant other? Well, a trolley party is in store for you!

Vintage-style trains on McKinney Avenue will offer passengers scenic views of the outskirts, downtown, and more on a three-hour train ride (with potty breaks along the way) and will include bottomless drinks, snacks, and more! Guests can also bring their own food and drinks. At the end of the night, a trolleybus will take guests to McKinney’s Post Worthington, where the party will continue in the nearby bars!

The Saturday Night Event is scheduled for February 11 from 7:30 pm to 11:00 pm and costs $50.
