Two pit bulls attacked Fort Worth Maine: police

Two pit bulls attacked the man and bit off part of his nose. Fort Worth Police, Fire and Animal Control responded to an incident Thursday at the 8400 block of Star Thistle Drive.

The family identified the victim as Marcus Kizazu. A video of the doorbell provided by the family shows two pit bulls at the main entrance to the house. Marcus’ two children and wife Leslie were inside. The mesh door kept the dogs out of the house.

“Hi, dog,” Kizaza’s oldest child said in the video. – Oh, he’s so cute.

Marcus, who was standing in the driveway, walked over to the screen door.

“They were friendly to my husband. They jumped on him,” Leslie said.

Marcus eventually made his way inside the house. He closed both doors so the dogs could leave.

A couple of pit bulls were still around. Although the pit bulls were friendly at first, they snapped back. However, Leslie and her children did not witness the attack.

A few minutes later, Marcus called Leslie and said that he was attacked by dogs. He ran down the street to escape the pit bulls that were biting his legs and arm.

Marcus eventually jumped on a neighbor’s white truck, but not before the dogs bit him in the face.

“He screamed very loudly and the dogs were very angry. We realized that part of his nose was under our car,” said Bianca Mireles. Mireles called 911 and recorded the aftermath of the attack, showing rescuers tending to Marcus and fighting off dogs.

“The dogs were just trying to attack everyone who was nearby. So if you were on the ground, they were going to attack you,” Mireles said.

The video shows one of the uncollared pit bulls lunging at a firefighter. No other injuries were reported.

In an email, Fort Worth police confirmed: “One officer spotted an aggressive dog and hit it with his patrol car. The dog was declared dead on the spot.

“I just saw how after that they took the dog away in a big red bag and then sprinkled water on the ground,” Mireles said.

Witnesses reported that Fort Worth Animal Control was able to capture a second dog at the scene. However, Animal Control did not respond to repeated requests for information, including what charges, if any, would be brought against dog owners.

“We would like to know who they belong to and hopefully charges can be brought against them,” Mireles said.

Marcus has been in the hospital since Thursday. His nose was successfully sutured, however, according to his wife, he will have another operation.

Leslie said she wants justice for her husband since both of them can’t go to work.

“We still have a mortgage to pay. We still have children to feed. That’s why I need to know where the owner of the dog is, Leslie said.
