Two people hospitalized after house fire

PALM SPRINGS, Florida. Two people were rushed to hospital after a house fire Sunday morning in Palm Springs, Palm Beach County Emergency Services said.

At 9:36 a.m., crews responded to a fire between Russell Drive and Masters Road.

The first firefighters to arrive reported smoke and flames from outside the house, which was part of an apartment building.

Several hoses and an aggressive fire attack were used to bring the fire under control within 10 minutes. The fire destroyed the canopy.

Firefighters treated the two injured on the spot and took them to a local hospital.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
