Trader Joe’s has named its best products of 2023. Five longtime favorites left the list

“If you had to spend the rest of your life on a desert island, what nine Trader Joe’s products would you take with you?”

For 14 years, Trader Joe’s has been asking its clients to answer the above question. The answers are then included in the 2023 Customer Choice Awards.

From dizzying picks like bananas (Best Product) to very accurate picks like Hold the Cone! Mini Ice Cream Cones (Best Dessert) Trader Joe’s was ranked #1 favorite and four runners-up in eight product categories.

Best overall product for 2023? Licking fingers, often out of stock and only slightly less intense than Takis, “chili lime flavored corn tortilla roll”.

Before panicking, TJ fans should know that the beloved grocery chain has moved five longtime winners into its first Food Hall of Fame, including the ever-popular peanut butter pretzels and the inimitable soy chorizo.
