TikTok Stars The Boykinz To Perform At Cowtown Coliseum As Part Of Alzheimer’s Awareness Campaign

HSC and Bill Pickett Rodeo teamed up during Black History Month to raise awareness of Alzheimer’s in North Texas.

FORT WORTH, TX – Nuthere, Anale, Alona and Kaylan make up a country music band. Boykins. They’ve become the latest TikTok sensation, mixing pop, rock and hip-hop in their music, and they’re coming to Cowtown.

“We’ll be in town to help HSCs in Fort Worth learn about their health and the study of brain aging,” said Anale Boykins, 26.

The Bill Picket Rodeo organizers invited the sisters to the Cowtown Coliseum after collaborating with HSC Fort Worth in the fight against Alzheimer’s. It is also part of their Black History Month celebration.

According to the Alzheimer’s Association, 400,000 people aged 65 and over in Texas alone are living with Alzheimer’s disease. Nearly 12% of people aged 45 and older experience early onset disease. The State of Texas has an education and awareness plan for care and treatment.

“We want to draw attention to how Alzheimer’s affects black families,” Anale Boykins said.

The Boykinz made national headlines after country music star Shania Twain surprised them with an invitation to Nashville to see The Kelly Clarkson Show.

Most of their exposure has been on social media, with over 64 million views on Tik Tok alone. However, they never thought their influence would reach one of country music’s biggest stars.

“Now we don’t have Shania Twain in front of us. It was crazy,” Nighter Boykins said.

“It was an honor just to meet them,” Anale Boykins said.

The Boykinz are not only vocalists, but also learned how to play instruments and also wrote original music for performances. Girls attribute their success to their parents, who are entrepreneurs.

“Our parents formed a group of us,” said Kaylan Boykins. “They closed their business to focus entirely on our careers and we’ve been homeschooled ever since.”

As young rising stars in country music, the four sisters hope to inspire people with their talent and music. Their goal on stage is to try and make the people listening to their lyrics forget all their problems and worries and just have the best time of their lives.

“We want them to have fun, get out of their seats, have fun and be happy, like enjoy the present moment you are in right now,” said Alona Boykins.

The Boykins dream of becoming Grammy nominees someday. They believe in themselves even more now that Twain wants them to perform on stage in Nashville, which they never imagined, even after working on their craft for the past 10 years.

The Boykinz will perform Saturday night at Bill Pickett’s Rodeo Presentation on February 18 at the Cowtown Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas.
