The US Chamber of Commerce flies two Ukrainian flags at its headquarters in the country’s capital, despite only one American flag being displayed.

On Thursday, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry raised two Ukrainian flags to commemorate the first anniversary of the Ukrainian-Russian conflict.
Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Suzanne P. Clark praised the “strength and spirit of the Ukrainian people who are fighting for their freedom and democracy” in a statement released Thursday.
“We are proud of how the United States and our allies have rallied around a democratic Ukraine, and as the war enters its second year, we must continue to stand up for our values and support the Ukrainian people,” Clarke continued.
Clark noted that corporations across the country have banded together and have provided more than $1 billion in corporate humanitarian aid to Ukraine since February last year.
“In addition to responding to immediate needs, we must strive to build a secure and prosperous future for Ukraine when the war is won,” Clarke said. She added that the private sector would be an “important partner” in working with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry to “prepare for the reconstruction and modernization of Ukraine.”
“The U.S. business community remains firmly behind Ukraine, and we will continue to help the administration, Congress, and our allies stand by Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression,” Clarke concluded.
In the public sector, the administration of President Joe Biden provided more than $110 billion in military and economic assistance to Ukraine during the first year of the conflict.
The Chamber of Commerce has taken a hit to the reputation of the Republicans due to its turn to the left and support of the Democrats in the recent congressional elections.
Speaking to Breitbart News in January 2022, Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) promised that the Republican Party would no longer welcome the Chamber of Commerce if it continued to support Democrats and big business at the expense of Americans.
“The Chamber left the party a long time ago,” McCarthy told Breitbart News. “In the last election, the House supported the Democrats.
