Texas ranked 7th best driving state: WalletHub study

The streets in Texas may seem strange to some people, but according to a recent study, it is still one of the best driving states.

CONNECTED: Texas is in the top 10 most polite drivers, according to a Forbes Advisor poll.

Researchers from WalletHub compared all 50 states on several factors, including average gas prices, traffic congestion during peak hours, and road quality. Its results showed Texas as the 7th best driving state.

The Lone Star state outperforms other southern states such as Tennessee and Alabama, but lags behind states like Oklahoma and Iowa, which have proven to be the best state to drive.

CONNECTED: According to the study, Texas was ranked as the 3rd best state for summer driving.

Texas also ranked first in average gas prices, 2nd in car dealerships per capita, and 5th in auto repair shops per capita.
