Texas Community Watershed Partners (part of Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, Division of Disaster Assessment and Recovery) in Houston, Texas is seeking candidates for the position of Program II Coordinator. This position will operate from our office in the Clear Lake Houston area (near the Johnson Space Center) under the Green Infrastructure for Texas (GIFT) program. The Program Coordinator II, under general direction, works together with the management in the planning, development and implementation of programs. They will help lead and support green infrastructure planning and education efforts along the Texas coast. Responsibilities include planning and delivering educational workshops for community stakeholders, preparing and delivering in-person and virtual trainings to a wide range of audiences, developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, working on reports and grant applications, scoping the project, and other tasks. associated with the efforts of the GIFT program. The program may cross-train on related projects such as stormwater drainage or water quality data collection and reporting. This position will supervise 2-4 employees.

Responsibilities:
• Effectively analyzes, interprets, summarizes and presents technical information and ideas.
• Assists in setting short and long term goals and strategic planning.
• Plans and delivers educational workshops for community stakeholders, and prepares and delivers in-person and virtual trainings for a variety of audiences. Personal seminars and training may require lifting or moving medium weight items up to 40 pounds.
• Develops and updates training materials and conducts training.
• Develops and maintains relationships with stakeholders.
• Plans, implements and evaluates programs. Assists in setting goals, objectives, policies and procedures.
• Collaborates with others to create new and expanded programs.
• Effectively represents Extension in meetings with the community, business, professional groups, and the public.
• Prepares reports on program activities.
• Manages program staff.
• Assists in the preparation and monitoring of program and activity budgets.
• Identifies and seizes funding opportunities. Works on grant and application reports and project scoping.
• May be cross-trained on related projects such as stormwater or water quality data collection and reporting.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required education and experience:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Four years of relevant experience.

Required knowledge, skills and abilities:
• Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work collaboratively with others.
• Ability to lift or move medium weight objects up to 40 pounds.

Other requirements:
• An overnight trip is required.
