Teen curfew to end in February in Fort Worth

FORT WORTH, TX (CBSDFW.COM) – Fort Worth’s teen curfew ordinance, in effect for almost 30 years, expires February 13, 2023, according to a statement from Fort Worth Mayor Matty Parker.

AND community meeting scheduled to February 1 on this issue was postponed.

She went on to say, “Fellow council members and I have heard from many residents during our discussions about whether or not to renew the teen curfew ordinance in the City of Fort Worth. It is important to listen to the voices of our residents, as well as to hear and learn about other factors. when considering such a policy decision. We can all agree that the number one priority is keeping the youth of Fort Worth safe.”

Under the current regulation, minors are prohibited from being in any public place after 23:00 from Sunday to Thursday and after 00:01 on Friday and Saturday. There are exceptions for work, emergencies, parental errands, or attending supervised events.
