Ted Cruz says it’s ‘critical’ for the FBI to search Hunter Biden’s home for classified documents

Senator Ted Cruz, D-Tex., said Wednesday that the FBI should search Hunter Biden’s home and business for possible classified documents.

Cruz made the comments during his “The Verdict” podcast on Wednesday, which came after classified documents were found in President Biden’s personal office at Penn Biden Center and a home in Wilmington, Delaware.

“The FBI needs to conduct a search and investigation to determine if there are any classified documents in Hunter Biden’s home or work,” Cruz said on his podcast. “The FBI doesn’t need to sit around for days, weeks and months and let someone put these documents in a shredder. They need to show up tomorrow and search Hunter Biden’s house and office. If we care about protecting classified documents and understanding what Joe Biden did, we need to do it immediately.”

Cruz said White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre should ask, “Does Hunter Biden mind an FBI search of his home and business?”

“At the start of this case, the president instructed his personal attorneys to cooperate fully with the Justice Department,” Bauer said. “Accordingly, having previously identified and reported to the DOJ a small number of class-marked documents at the President’s home in Wilmington, and in the interest of moving the process forward as quickly as possible, we have proposed that immediate access be granted to his home to allow the DOJ to search the entire premises for potential records. Vice President and potential X-Files.”

The search by FBI agents, which was conducted without a warrant and by mutual agreement, began on January 20 at 9:45 and ended at about 22:30.
