Take a look inside the pastel maximalist rainbow house

This creator made the brand as colorful as possible.

Arizona resident Emily Eileen has captured the attention of TikTok with her kaleidoscope of home and associated boutique.

The small business owner has racked up over 1.1 million views on the platform with a video tour of her colorful paradise with rainbow-colored walls, stairs, furniture, a cloud-painted ceiling, and even a rainbow-colored ceiling fan.

When Eileen isn’t enjoying her Barbie dream house, Eileen – a self-proclaimed “pastel maximalist” – runs an online store of “vintage, recycled, hand-dyed and embroidered goodies in every color of the rainbow” called Fever Dream Boutique. . She also has an office in a thrift store in Arizona.

Her offerings include an assortment of badges, patches and stickers, as well as lingerie, sweatshirts and dresses. The aesthetic of her merchandise is very similar to her home and her TikTok, where she has over 41,300 followers.

In response to comments that indicate her crib’s unique decor could make it difficult to unload if she ever decides to sell it, she staunchly defends her decision to change the space. “I can never stress enough that I don’t care about my resale value (it’s all completely and easily reversible),” she captioned the 15-second clip.

She adds a voice-over as she pans over her furniture: “If I was decorating with only an interest in what the next owner would like, I’d just rent from the next owner.”

However, other rainbow houses have really had a hard time on the market, and many of them with colorful facades have upset neighbors as well. In Santa Barbara, California, artist Jane Gottlieb decorated her home to evoke joy, but accidentally upset several of her beige-loving neighbors. However, those who don’t live in the area “instantly smile” when they see the nine-color masterpiece, Gottlieb said, as The Post previously reported.

In England, Mary Rose Young struggled to sell her house – despite it costing a quarter of a million dollars – after spending decades covering it in rainbow-colored paint and decor. And in Florida, a house in a Naples community turned into a controversial rainbow after a legal battle.
