Suspect arrested in deadly shooting in broad daylight in the Bronx: NYPD
One person is under arrest and police are looking for a second suspect in a shooting in broad daylight in the Bronx that killed one and injured three, police said.
Salvatore Rivera, 51, of the Bronx, was charged with murder, manslaughter, assault and illegal possession of a weapon after being taken into custody on Friday.
The shooting broke out around 2:30 p.m. Friday in front of a Popeyes store at 641 E. Tremont Ave., near Hughes Avenue, police said.

Jeremiah Smith, 24, who was shot in the stomach, was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital where he died, police said.
The 37-year-old man was shot in the torso and is fighting for his life in the same hospital, police said. According to police, a 36-year-old man was shot in the ankle and a 58-year-old in the buttock. Both were expected to survive.
The second suspect was still at large as of Saturday morning, according to the NYPD.
