Strong storms threaten Big D with hail and winds.

North Texas residents can expect a week of erratic spring weather, which could potentially bring a few strong to severe storms, hail, and strong winds. The National Weather Service warned that the following days will be a rollercoaster of weather patterns, ranging from sunny to problematic in a matter of minutes. In light of this information, residents are advised to keep their umbrellas on hand and stay alert for any sudden weather changes.

On Tuesday, WFAA meteorologist Pete Delkus tweeted that residents should anticipate a few strong to severe storms later in the day, with hail as the biggest threat. Additional storms could move in from the west of the area and continue to bring more hail, plus a strong wind threat. Delkus warns that not everyone will see these storms.

According to Delkus, Wednesday afternoon and evening could see a chance of severe weather, thanks to a cold front that may bring strong winds and large hail. Delkus cautioned that a tornado isn’t outside the realm of possibility on Wednesday, making it essential to stay vigilant.

Last week, pockets of North Texas were rocked by late-night storms that brought hail ranging from peas to golf balls, along with heavy rains and winds. As reported by FOX 4 news, residents should prepare themselves for a similar situation this week.

On Thursday, the National Weather Service predicts a partly sunny sky for Dallas, with a possibility of rain earlier in the day. The high would be 71 degrees. Friday afternoon and evening also show a chance of showers and thunderstorms. However, the silver lining is that by the weekend, the rain is expected to stop, and the skies are expected to be clearer.

Although the weather forecast may dampen the spirits of some residents, Dallas observers noted that they would still take this over the much more severe and punishing summer heat that is yet to come. Therefore, residents are advised to stay calm, prepared, and vigilant while bracing themselves for the week ahead.
