HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (MERCER) – Dean Svecz, a talented 16-year-old resident of Hamilton Township, has been selected to be a member of the highly acclaimed School of Rock AllStars tour. The AllStars is a prestigious touring ensemble comprised of some of the most accomplished teenage musicians from School of Rock franchises across the country. From July 31 to August 5, Dean and his bandmates will take the stage at various venues across four midwestern states, using their musical talent to raise awareness about mental health and generate funds for the Society for the Prevention of Teen Suicide (SPTS).

For Svecz, a passionate vocal student at School of Rock Princeton, the AllStars tour represents an extraordinary opportunity. Having begun his musical journey at SoR Princeton in 2020, Svecz is ecstatic about the chance to forge new connections, showcase his talent at renowned venues, and contribute to the cause of SPTS. His biggest inspirations are iconic figures Elvis Presley and Freddie Mercury.

Joining the AllStars is no easy task. It signifies the pinnacle of achievement for School of Rock music students. Just 1% of the 62,000 SoR students nationwide receive the privilege of being part of this exceptional ensemble. Dean’s selection is a testament to his exceptional musical abilities and dedication to his craft.

During the tour, Dean and his Midwest Team band will immerse themselves in an authentic touring experience. They will hit the road on a tour bus, engage in publicity activities, and captivate audiences with their nightly performances at prestigious venues. The lineup includes Zanzabar in Louisville, KY; Old Rock House in St. Louis, MO; Reggie’s Rock Club and the Lollapalooza Fest in Chicago; Fitzgerald’s Night Club in Berwyn, IL; and Hi-Fi Annex in Indianapolis, IN.

Importantly, a portion of the ticket sales and donations collected throughout the School of Rock AllStars tour will be allocated to support the vital work of SPTS. This incredible organization is dedicated to breaking down the stigma surrounding discussions on suicide and equipping teens, parents, and educators with the necessary tools to provide crisis intervention and prevention.

Dean Svecz, with his undeniable talent and unwavering commitment, is set to make an indelible impact on the AllStars tour. As he takes the stage nationwide, his contributions to mental health awareness and teen suicide prevention will resonate with audiences and inspire change.
