San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo Announces Official Cowboy Breakfast for 75th Anniversary Season
San Antonio, TX – The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo has announced that it will host the official Cowboy Breakfast, marking the beginning of the celebration for its 75th Anniversary season. The event, which is scheduled to start on January 26, 2024, will continue the tradition of offering free breakfast items, coffee, and fun events for all attendees.
Chris Derby, the San Antonio Rodeo Chief Marketing Officer, expressed his excitement about activating the official rodeo cowboy breakfast. He stated, “We are very excited to now activate the official rodeo cowboy breakfast to start the celebration of our 75th Anniversary season of the Stock Show & Rodeo.” Derby further emphasized that the event will adhere to the established tradition of providing free breakfast items, coffee, and enjoyable activities for all participants.
The Cowboy Breakfast Foundation, which has organized the event since 1979, has been instrumental in raising funds for St. Philips College Scholarships, particularly for the Hospitality Department. In collaboration with the foundation, rodeo volunteers will work together in the inaugural year to ensure the continuation of this tradition, as the Cowboy Breakfast will now serve as the official kickoff to the rodeo season.
The breakfast will take place at 142 Gembler Road, setting the stage for the BBQ Kickoff scheduled for the same weekend. The highly anticipated rodeo itself will be held from February 8 to 25 at the Frost Bank Center/Freeman Coliseum fairgrounds.
