RRISD Unveils Graduation Details for Class of 2024

Graduation ceremonies for the class of 2024 at Cedar Ridge, McNeil, Round Rock, Stony Point, and Westwood High Schools are scheduled to take place in May at the prestigious H-E-B Cedar Park Center. This momentous occasion will mark the culmination of years of hard work and dedication for the graduating students.

The ceremonies will be spread out over two days, with the first set of ceremonies taking place on Wednesday, May 22. McNeil High School’s graduation ceremony will commence at 4 p.m., followed by Round Rock High School’s ceremony at 8 p.m. These events will undoubtedly be filled with joy and excitement as graduates and their families come together to celebrate this important milestone.

The following day, Thursday, May 23, will see the remaining three high schools hosting their graduation ceremonies. Westwood High School’s ceremony will begin at 12 p.m., followed by Stony Point High School’s at 4 p.m., and Cedar Ridge High School’s at 8 p.m. Each ceremony promises to be a unique and memorable experience for all those in attendance.

In addition to the aforementioned high schools, the graduation ceremonies for Early College and Success High Schools will be held at the esteemed Raymond E. Hartfield Performing Arts Center (PAC) on Friday, May 24. The Early College High School ceremony will commence at 9 a.m., while the Success High School ceremony will take place at 1 p.m. These ceremonies, held at the PAC, do not require tickets for admission, allowing friends and family members to join in the celebration without any barriers.

For those attending the ceremonies at the H-E-B Cedar Park Center, it is important to note that admittance is strictly by ticket only. This measure ensures that the attendance remains within the appropriate capacity of the event center, prioritizing the safety of the students and guests. Furthermore, all guests must adhere to the event center’s clear bag policy. Clear bags must not exceed the dimensions of 16″ x 8″ x 16″ and should not possess any colored tinting or obstructive patterns. Non-clear bags, on the other hand, should not exceed the dimensions of 4.5″ x 6.5″.

To ensure a smooth and organized ceremony, each graduate will receive six (6) tickets for their guests. These tickets will be distributed to the graduates at their respective schools in May. It is worth noting that the tickets are free of charge, and seating during the ceremony will not be assigned. Additionally, children under the age of 3 will be admitted without a ticket, but they must be seated on a lap. In the unfortunate event of misplaced tickets, replacements will not be issued.

Graduates who do not require all six allotted tickets are strongly encouraged to consider giving them to fellow graduates who may need additional seats or to return them to the school for redistribution. This gesture of kindness will allow more loved ones to witness this momentous occasion.
