Rodeo is open! Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson Grand Champion wine sold for a record $325,000.

HOUSTON – Bidders shell out big money for 2023 Rodeo Uncorked Winning Wines! Champion Wine Auction and Sunday Dinner.

Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson was awarded the Grand Champion International Wine Competition Best of Show for his Le Chemin du Roi Brut, Champagne AOC. It was auctioned off for a record $325,000! Bubbles was bought by Julie and Alan Kent of J. Alan Kent Development, Randa and Ray Gilliam, Andrea and Bruce Bryant, and John M. Cotterell.

Jackson’s Sire Spirits also offered $165,000 for the 2023 Best of Show title, Bernhardt Winery Antiquity Chardonnay Reserve 2020.

The international wine competition was attended by 3071 people from 18 countries, including Argentina, Bulgaria, France, Israel, Italy, South Africa and Spain.

More than 500 entries came from Texas wineries and 160 entries came from Australia, the region represented this year.
