Road closures expected in South Cape Coral due to construction

CAPE CORAL, Florida. A major construction project is underway in the town of Cape Coral near Country Club Boulevard.

On Monday, LCEC crews will work on power lines.

The construction is part of an ongoing infrastructure improvement project in South Cape Coral.

The city says this major transfer project is designed to improve some of the pipelines in the city.

Drivers in the area should expect delays due to road closures and detours.

Crews will operate between SE 4 Street and Country Club Boulevard and down to SE 47th Terrace.

When performing basic work, citizens can count on:

• Noise from construction machinery and vehicles
• Installation of power main pipelines
• Road excavation and restoration
• Dismantling and restoration of the sidewalk
• Restoration of entrance/exit
• Temporary drilling/boring
