Riot in downtown Atlanta: police release names, photos and charges of six arrested

Atlanta police released the names, photos and charges of six suspects arrested during downtown Atlanta riots Saturday night. Only one of the suspects was a resident of Georgia.

Nadia Geyer, 24, from Nashville, Tennessee; Madeleine Feola, 22, from Spokane, Washington; Ivan Ferguson, 22, from Nevada; Graham Evatt, 20, Decatur, Georgia; Frances Carroll, 22, from Kennebunkport, Maine; and Emily Murphy, 37, of Gross Isle, Michigan, were charged with four misdemeanors and four felony charges.

Misdemeanor charges include: riot, pedestrian on the roadway, intentionally obstructing the activities of a law enforcement officer, and unlawful assembly.

Felony charges include: second-degree felony damage, first-degree arson, interference with public property, and domestic terrorism.

At a press conference Saturday night, Mayor Andre Dickens and Atlanta Police Chief Darin Schierbaum said city officials would continue to search for anyone involved in the violence and destruction that night.

“My message to those who seek to continue this criminal behavior is: we will find you, we will arrest you, and you will be held accountable,” Mayor Dickens said.
