Rescuers fight fire at Estero’s home

Estero, Florida. The house was on fire when firefighters arrived.

It happened in the 4900 block of Mederia Lane around 8:30 am on Wednesday.

Crews from the Estero Fire and Rescue, San Carlos Park Fire and Lee County EMS were able to put out the fire.

The fire damaged the house, but no one was hurt.

The family was not living in the home at the time of the fire due to damage caused by Hurricane Yang, firefighters said.

Investigators are looking for the cause of the fire.
