Report: Joe Biden aides discover more classified documents elsewhere

According to an NBC News report, aides to President Joe Biden found even more classified documents in his possession elsewhere.

The report does not say where or when the new documents were discovered, but it is clear that the White House is trying to clear Biden’s records ahead of a possible re-election in 2024.

The newly discovered documents are in a separate location from a personal office associated with the University of Pennsylvania think tank that Biden had in Washington, D.C., where the first batch of classified information was discovered.

Biden said on Tuesday he was “surprised” to be in possession of the classified documents, reiterating that he was unaware of their contents.

“I was briefed on this discovery and I was surprised to learn that there are any government records that were delivered there to this office,” Biden said, first reacting to the news during a press conference in Mexico City.

“I don’t know what’s in the documents,” he continued. “My lawyers didn’t suggest that I not ask what the documents were.”

Biden also said on Tuesday that “boxes” of documents had been turned over to the archives.

The White House is hushing up any further information about the documents, which were first revealed just days before the 2022 midterm elections.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre declined to even confirm whether Biden’s aides searched his other properties for classified documents.
