Red Lobster Employee Arrested for Assaulting Manager and Robbing Restaurant

A Broward County resident, with a history of three felony convictions, was apprehended at his residence in Lauderhill on Thursday for his involvement in a violent armed robbery that occurred at the Red Lobster where he was employed in West Palm Beach. The incident, which took place on April 14 at approximately 11 p.m., saw a masked individual forcibly enter the restaurant, located at 2201 Palm Beach Lakes Blvd, and menacingly hold two employees captive at gunpoint within the office premises.

Reports from the West Palm Beach police indicate that the assailant proceeded to brandish the firearm at the manager, striking her with the butt of the gun, and coercing her to unlock the safe. Subsequently, the perpetrator proceeded to pocket an undisclosed sum of money into a duffle bag, along with seizing the manager’s iPhone 15, before fleeing the scene. Surveillance footage captured the culprit dressed in a dark, long-sleeved hooded top, black trousers, white footwear, a green mask, black gloves, and dark glasses, corroborating the descriptions provided by the staff members.

A worker at the Red Lobster informed the authorities that the voice of the assailant bore a resemblance to that of a cook named “Sean,” whose true identity was uncovered as Ta ’Shambae Saleme Greene, a 35-year-old individual residing in Lauderhill. Greene had been dismissed from his shift and sent home around 6:30 p.m. on the day of the robbery due to the lack of patrons at the establishment. Following extensive investigations, including witness interviews, scrutiny of surveillance tapes, and collection of additional evidence, Greene was identified as the prime suspect.

A subsequent search warrant executed on April 26 at Greene’s residence yielded incriminating evidence, such as clothing worn during the robbery, a substantial amount of cash, and a firearm matching the description of the one used during the robbery. The apprehension of Greene was carried out by the U.S. Marshal’s South Florida Fugitive Task Force, who took him into custody at his Lauderhill home on Thursday afternoon. He was subsequently remanded to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Main Detention Center, where he is facing a litany of charges, including robbery, false imprisonment, wearing a mask during the commission of a crime, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
