Prosecutors: Alec Baldwin “definitely” pulled the trigger – he lied in a December 2021 interview

Santa Fe District Attorney Mary Carmack-Oltwis and Special Counsel Andrea Reeb said Thursday on FNC’s The Five that Alec Baldwin definitely pulled the trigger on the gun that killed cinematographer Halina Hutchins while discussing the manslaughter charge against the actor. .

Gunsmith Hannah Gutierrez-Reid was also charged with manslaughter.

Baldwin said in an interview with ABC News in December 2021, “I didn’t pull the trigger.”

Host George Stephanopoulos said, “So you never pulled the trigger?”

Baldwin said, “No, no, no, I would never point a gun at someone and pull the trigger on him, never.”

Reeb said: “We strongly believe he pulled the trigger. The FBI lab report confirms this. So definitely the trigger was pulled.”

Co-host Janine Pirro asked, “Okay, so his statement is wrong under any circumstances?”

Rib said, “We don’t believe that’s the case.”

Carmack-Oltvis said, “Mr. At a basic level, Baldwin had an obligation to never hold a gun or point it at a person by pulling the trigger. But he also had a duty as an actor and producer on set to check the bullets or check them in person to make sure they weren’t alive.”

Reeb said, “It was a loose and reckless set where security was only compromised to save money.”
