Prison records say the Italian and Texas woman accused of killing three children now faces more charges.

Shamaiya Hall now faces additional charges of stabbing her children at their home in Italy, Texas.

ELLIS COUNTY, Texas. Two additional charges have been added to the prison file of Shamaya Hall, a 25-year-old woman accused of killing three of her children and injuring two more at their home in Italy, Texas, last week.

Hall has already faced three capital murder charges. She now faces two charges of aggravated assault with a weapon on a family member, according to Ellis County prison records.

Authorities said that in addition to her three children who died, Hall is accused of stabbing two more of her children.

Family members identified the dead children: six-year-old Legend Chapell and five-year-old twins Alia and Aiden Martin.

The children who were stabbed were not named, but authorities said they were four years and 13 months old.

Child Protective Services confirmed to WFAA that all five children were siblings.

The incident happened Friday at a house near Stafford Elementary School in Italy, a town of about 2,000 located off Interstate 35E in Ellis County, south of Dallas.

Hall’s search warrant states that she allegedly stabbed her children when a CPS officer who suspected Hall was visiting her children unsupervised arrived on the scene to check on her without warning.

The children had previously been placed in the care of another relative by CPS.

The Ellis County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the CPS was at a house on the street where the crime occurred and then quickly called 911 for help.

“We are appalled by this unfathomable tragedy and are already working with law enforcement to find out how and why this happened,” CPS officials said in a statement to the WFAA.

Hall was arrested and placed in the Wayne McCollum Detention Center in Ellis County. With the new charges, her bail was set at $10 million; $2 million for each murder charge and $2 million for each aggravated assault charge.

The search warrant details numerous pieces of evidence taken from Hall’s home, including a knife blade with blood on it, a large stainless steel knife with blood on it, a black knife handle, and a stainless steel knife from the back bedroom.
