Police shut down Dallas street as crews respond to man on crane

DALLAS. Police blocked a street in West Dallas on Monday morning when they responded to a man who was on a crane at a construction site.

Singleton was closed for several blocks, starting with Sylvan Avenue.

Police said the man on the crane may have been in distress and they were trying to lower him.

Video footage from the scene shows the man standing on the crane for more than an hour. He also climbed on part of the crane and stood on cables across the crane.

More information has not yet been available.

The situation was still going on around 9 am.
