Police say two suspects tried to break into an East Meadow Bank ATM

Squad 3 provides details of a major robbery attempt that took place on Monday, February 6, 2023 at 1:30 AM in East Meadow.

According to detectives, two unidentified adult men entered the Bank of America, located at 2443 Hempstead Turnpike, and attempted to break into the ATM, damaging the machine in the process.

Subjects were unable to withdraw any US currency from the ATM and fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction.

Both subjects were wearing dark jackets, dark pants, and face masks.

The investigation is ongoing.
